Who is the Lil'browndog?

She is the puppy found on a roadside, who was to remain at my side for 17 years. Lily was my companion, my clown, and, in sad times, my consolation. During my degree, she was both student and teacher - an old (and by then deaf) dog, learning new tricks so that I could shine.

 

He was the terrier at the centre of the infamous Brown Dog Affair, an event that ignited riots, divided opinion, and challenged thinking around animal experimentation.

And they are all the dogs who ever melted or mended our hearts. How much we owe to these beautiful creatures!
